Choose Your Way of Giving

No program in youth development and the arts can fulfill its mission without the ongoing assistance of people who know the power of imagination and joy in young people’s lives.  Your gift will provide children, youth and young adults in Richmond and the East Bay with the professional faculty, environment and support services required to advance their health and self-determination in a complex and too often inequitable world.

Give your broker the following information to transfer a gift of stock to East Bay Center for the Performing Arts:

  • Broker: Charles Schwab
    • The Center’s brokerage account is with Charles Schwab. The Center does not have a designated broker, but any Schwab agent at 800-435-4000 should be able to help with the transaction.
  • Account number: 5013-7997

  • Address: Charles Schwab, PO Box 52114, Phoenix, AZ 85072-2114

Either you or your broker should contact Sara Rader, Director of Individual Giving (contact information below) with the name of the stock and the number of shares being transferred. This ensures the gift is properly credited and acknowledged.

Stock certificate held by you

Contact the Development Department (number below) to inform the Center you are making a gift of stock.
Using registered mail, send the unendorsed securities to:

  • Sara Rader, Director of Individual Giving, East Bay Center for the Performing Arts, 339 – 11th Street, Richmond, CA 94801-3105

In a separate envelope to the same address, send:

  • A letter stating you wish to contribute the securities to the East Bay Center, including the name and number of shares of each stock;
  • A signed, but otherwise blank, stock power form (contact us if you need a blank form).

Piano Donations

Acoustic Piano Donation Checklist. Please include the following with your piano donation inquiry:
We receive offers for acoustic pianos on a weekly basis and have very limited space for instruments. This is the checklist we use when assessing piano donations. Please provide this information when you email us. THANK YOU!
  1. Brand name (Steinway & Sons, Kawai, Yamaha, etc)
  2. Serial Number – the serial number may be under the lid, underneath the keys, printed on one of the legs. It varies from piano to piano. If you’re not sure, Google “serial number” and the name of your piano for tips on where to look.
  3. Age of the piano (if you don’t know the age, we can sometimes figure that out from the serial number).
  4. History of repairs/damages
  5. Known problems with the piano (sticky keys, broken parts, wiggly keys, broken strings, etc.)
  6. Photos of the piano exterior and interior (you will need to lift the lid and remove the cover to do this).
  7. A short video clip of someone playing the piano so we can hear the sound and key action.
