Create a Legacy of Support in Developing Young Artists

Since our founding in 1968, East Bay Center for the Performing Arts has been an anchor institution for creative youth development in the Richmond community. As part of our commitment to the next generation of young artists, the Center now gratefully accepts and encourages planned gifts.

A legacy gift to the Center helps to ensure a strong financial foundation for the Center for decades to come. Legacy gifts supplement the Center’s annual resources in ways that have the greatest impact on young people’s lives, including our Young Artist Diploma Program, the Summer Intensive, innovations to our our Deep Roots, Wide World curriculum, our far-reaching partnerships with local schools, college readiness services, and direct support to our students’ mental and emotional well-being.

Legacy Circle

Donors who provide for our students through their planned gifts become part of the Center’s “Legacy Circle.” Legacy Circle members receive invitations to special performances, events and open rehearsals, as well as unique opportunities to meet and get to know our students and exceptional faculty.

There are a variety of ways that anyone can support our young people, ensure a vibrant future for the Center, and achieve one’s philanthropic goals through a legacy gift, including:

  • A bequest from one’s will or trust
  • IRA or other retirement funds
  • Stock, securities, or tangible properties
  • Life insurance policy proceeds
  • A charitable remainder trust

Donors are advised to consult an attorney, financial advisor, or estate planning expert in the preparation of your plans and to supervise their execution to comply with standard requirements. The Center can also refer donors to a qualified panel of professionals who can advise on ways a planned gift can be made in accordance with the donor’s interests and local law.
