Learn very basic foot rhythms. Understanding loud and quiet steps and when they are utilized. Understand the Son Cycle and guidelines to a Fandango. Learn basic percussion rhythms on a pandero, quijada, cántaro, tambora, cajón (depends on the region of the semester).
Learn to sing basic call and response. In addition, students will have an opportunity to learn the very basics of a stringed instrument (depending on the region of the semester).
