Physical Theatre Workshop
In this workshop students will explore telling stories with little or no text. Drawing on foundation exercises in mime, clowning, mask, and dance/movement-related forms all students will create characters and short works for presentation - both solo and group. In addition, each student will work on building a daily/weekly routine to help keep themselves fit, healthy and prepared to sustain demanding practice and physical performance activities.
Who is the class for?
Any serious acting student grades 9-12; especially recommended for students with dance/movement background, students who have taken stage combat, students currently in or planning to join ITT Ensemble.
Recommendations for Dress:
Students are asked to wear neutral clothing that covers everything that should be covered when doing energetic physical activities. Students also are required to be barefooted in this class (no socks, no shoes).
