DESCRIPTION:At a moment when the call to amplify the voices of impacted communities feels louder than ever\, In Visibility emerges as a powerful response. East Bay Center for the Performing Arts\, in collaboration with renowned choreographer Robert Moses and the Center’s Dance students and faculty\, presents this profound new performance that brings together the Center’s dedicated dance students and professional dancers from Robert Moses’ Kin. \nIn Visibility challenges the narratives imposed on Richmond youth\, making visible what systemic oppression seeks to erase. Through movement and storytelling\, it confronts harmful stereotypes\, reclaims agency\, and reimagines the lived experiences of the city’s young artists. By breaking through limiting narratives\, In Visibility fosters understanding\, inspires dialogue\, and illuminates the resilience and power of Richmond’s next generation. \nThis transformative work is made possible in part by The Creative Work Fund\, a program of the Walter & Elise Haas Fund with support from The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.
