SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMS

In addition to the intensive instructional and performance opportunities offered at the main site, the Center maintains a popular and vibrant outreach program. These programs currently take place at fourteen public school and community sites and involve over twelve hundred students annually.

There, arts and parenting classes involve both pre-schoolers and their families, while subsidized on-site after school arts classes enliven local neighborhoods and introduce the joys of artistic discovery and exploration.

For public school teachers in the West Contra Costa Unified School District and beyond, the Center conducts regular professional development workshops. These courses are supported by the US Dept of Education and provide classroom teachers with the resources to integrate the arts into their classrooms.
